Kayaking the estuary to observe marine mammals. Examining the microscopic organisms (plankton) that form the base of the marine food pyramid. Cruising Estero Bay in search of Humpback whales and other marine life.
Maximum class size: 12 students
Enrollment fee: $600.00
STUDENTS WILL:
Kayak in Morro Bay Estuary (2 days) and Avila Bay (1 day).
Learn field science research techniques
Capture and identify plankton using plankton nets and field microscopes
Search for humpback whales and other marine animals with Subsea Tours in Morro Bay
Learn to identify marine birds in the estuary
